Plum Unlimited - support charities by buying and selling

This site was initially set up to manage the booking of tickets for the 'Party for Plum' that was held on 21st May 2011 at the Beaufort Polo Club.

The site remains to enable us (the Layton family) to continue to raise awareness of the need for research into Pancreatic Cancer. Research into pancreatic cancer is desperately needed. Over the last decade doctors have hit a brickwall as no new treatments have improved patients overall survival.

Indeed doctors are still using the same treatment that was established 13 years ago. Pancreatic cancer has now moved into the bottom of the league tables in terms of progress in treating individual cancers. This fact is even more shocking as only 1% of cancer research has ultimately focused on the pancreas.

For more details about the fund and how it will spend the funds raised, please visit the various pages on the site. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact us.

Following the Auction at our Party at the Beaufort Polo Club and the Silent Auction, the sum of £109,771 was raised. Many, many thanks for all your support.

In total following the party and great generosity from two benefactors in particular the total payments to the Hammersmith Hospital have exceeded £350,000.
